        <![CDATA[<dl class="hr-extended"><dt>Essential functions:</dt><dd><p><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Detailed Description of Duties and Responsibilities:<br /></span></em></strong>Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:<strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p>Design complex computer systems where few, if any, similar systems are in existence.</p><p>Serve as primary database administrator, overseeing RDBMS environments including, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server, mySQL, and Oracle. Responsible for defining all databases, and maintaining accuracy and consistency in the data dictionary for all Consortium maintained databases.</p><p>Estimate the cost, manpower requirements and time necessary to complete the program development and testing of major systems.</p><p>Meet with end customers to resolve conflicts between system capabilities and user requirements; explain cost, delays and impairment of overall system efficiency; suggest and justify alternatives to users&rsquo; initial request.</p><p>Write or oversee the writing of detailed program specifications; define input/output data relationships, and sequence of operations necessary to perform programming for most difficult systems and subsystems.</p><p>Solve problems in programming arising from software interfaces, complex design requirements, and the use of new sophisticated computer languages.</p><p>Analyze written and verbal customer descriptions of system problems and requirements and translate them into technical definitions for automated system design and construction.</p><p>Instruct and advise subordinate Programmer Analysts on advanced programming techniques and computer languages.</p><p>Attend user meetings in conceptual design phase of development to clarify user needs and define technical problems or benefits that will result from alternative system designs.</p></dd><dt>Skills/Qualifications:</dt><dd><p><strong><em>Technical Skills, Knowledge &amp; Abilities:</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Interpersonal / Communication Skills</em></strong></p><ul><li>Strong oral and written communication, planning, decision making and problem solving, analysis, interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with all types of people at all levels of the organization, both within and outside the IT division.</li><li>Must have a record of exemplary customer service and experience with the demands of a challenging application environment.</li><li>Experience overseeing the work of subordinate Programmer Analyst and/or Programmer positions; provides technical assistance, as required, to Programmer Analysts and other IT employees, capable of performing any function on installed systems.</li></ul><p><strong><em>Technical Skills</em></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of database administration and data modeling terms, concepts, and practices. Must be able to define data model patterns, data normalization, and be able to build a data model using current tools.</li><li>Knowledge of systems development principals in areas of functional responsibility. Ability to apply diverse knowledge of systems development principles within broad assignments making independent decisions and using advanced programming techniques and procedures. Requires professional judgment and independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard systems development techniques, procedures and criteria. </li><li>Knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning projects.</li><li>Conducts thorough problem analysis in regard to technical system and application programs; documents findings and proposes problem resolution alternatives.</li><li>Four or more years of experience in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, ADO.NET, and/or Web Services.</li><li>Three or more years working with WCF and/or WPF.</li><li>Experience with VBScript, PHP and Perl a plus; jQuery experience highly desired.</li><li>Experience with enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Joomla, or Ingeniux a plus.</li><li>Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, such as Hyland OnBase or IBM FileNet, highly desired.</li></ul></dd></dl><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><p>Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or other related areas; four years of work experience in a production environment within the past five years, performing systems analysis and project planning for the purpose of developing business applications; or a combination of education and experience demonstrating ability to perform assigned duties. The Dean will identify areas of students&rsquo; academic, cultural and social/emotional needs through the collection of qualitative and quantitative data. This dynamic individual will leverage resources in order to develop and strengthen OBSA programs and services.         <![CDATA[<dl class="hr-extended"><dt>Essential functions:</dt><dd><p>Program evaluation and development: Based on assessments and evaluations, the Dean/Director of Black Student Affairs, in conjunction, with staff of Black Student Affairs, is expected to evaluate current programs and make recommendations for improvements, create new programs and eliminate less effective programs and events. Maintain records on students of African descent regarding matriculation, retention and graduation rates to inform programming and services.</p><p>Advocacy and mentoring of students: Interact with students, provide academic and emotional support, meet with campus representatives (staff, administrator, and faculty) to stay abreast of campus resources and trends; attend student organizational meetings, attend evening and weekend events and programs and assist with student leadership development.</p><p>Diversity initiatives and training: The Dean/Director of Black Student Affairs in conjunction with Black Student Affairs staff will conduct workshops, develop curricula and when requested, make classroom presentations about relevant student issues.</p><p>Professional development: The Dean/Director of Black Student Affairs is expected to stay abreast of research and trends affecting higher education with particular attention to topics related to students of African descent.&nbsp; The Dean will make professional contributions through presentations and publications at local, regional and national academic and/or professional venues.</p><p>Administrative responsibilities: Attend CUC Director meetings and Academic/Student of Concern meetings on the various campuses; manage schedules and provide supervision and evaluative feedback for Black Student Affairs staff.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p></dd><dt>Skills/Qualifications:</dt><dd><p>The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership roles in a higher education setting, preferably a residential liberal arts college setting.&nbsp; Also, this professional will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in academic support, counseling, teaching and advocacy for students of African descent.</p><p>In addition, the Dean/Director must have:</p><p>Demonstrated skills in collaboratively working with students, student life professionals, faculty, alumni and community members.</p><p>The demonstrated ability to collaborate, strategize, implement, and build programs and activities.</p><p>A successful track record of establishing strong, interpersonal relationships internally and externally. Must be able to advise, counsel, and work closely with constituents in order to achieve the goals of OBSA.</p><p>A leader with the vision and courage to break new ground and establish the highest standards of excellence while balancing the day-to-day needs of the department in a collegial atmosphere.</p><p>The ability to work successfully in a complex and fluid organization demanding self-reliance combined with team spirit, outstanding judgment, people skills, diplomacy, and a well-honed sense of urgency.</p><p>A track record of &ldquo;leading by example,&rdquo; managing and coaching other staff toward successful performance.         <![CDATA[<dl class="hr-extended"><dt>Essential functions:</dt><dd><p><strong>Disability claims management</strong></p><ul><li>Process and analyze VDI, Paid Family Leave (PFL), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims and data</li><li>Promptly process VDI and PFL benefit payments on a monthly and biweekly basis</li><li>Coordinate claims benefits between injured employees and insurance carriers and/or the EDD</li><li>Review and recommend ways in which the RTW program may be expanded to include disability leaves</li><li>Interpret and apply applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Coordination and implementation of Return To Work Program</strong></p><ul><li>Consult with medical professionals regarding employee injuries, medical treatments, disability management, therapy requirements, length of recuperation, work restrictions and special accommodations to assist employees return to work.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations; maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information. </li><li>Confer with appropriate institution and department personnel to identify suitable positions within an employee&rsquo; s medical restrictions; identify limited or light duty transitional positions and alternate duties for employees who can work while recovering under medical care; obtain necessary medical data to make decisions regarding return-to-work and placement. </li><li>Develop individual employee RTW plans; arrange for appropriate medical, vocational and work capacity assessments; as requested, assist college Human Resources staff with conducting assessment meetings with employees to discuss restrictions and ADA accommodations; identify other support services that may assist employees including counseling and community organizations.</li><li>Ensure elements of individual employee plans are in place such as specialized equipment, assistive technology and other job modifications</li><li>Track employee placements and monitor employee activities to assess progress and assure compliance with RTW restrictions.</li><li>Ensure prompt delivery of medical and financial services and the return of injured workers to safe and productive employment as soon as possible and assist with analyzing circumstances of claims, injury records and medical evaluations.</li><li>Communicate with the Workers&rsquo;
