Zika Virus Disease is an acute viral infection spread through mosquitoes. Although there have been 2,246 reported cases of travel-associated Zika in the U.S., only 14 cases of locally acquired Zika in one neighborhood in Miami, Florida have been reported as of August 17, 2016 according to the CDC.
